What Appfigures does better
- The clearest published pricing in the category: every tier is listed with its real keyword allowance, no contact-sales gap in the middle of the ladder.
- Covers Google Play as well as the App Store, so a cross-platform portfolio lives in one tool.
- The only tool here that includes API access on its cheapest paid plan rather than selling it separately.
- Has been shipping app analytics far longer than SonarTree has existed, with a correspondingly deeper feature surface.
Where SonarTree fits instead
- Competitor keyword reverse-lookup is the thing most people buy an ASO tool for, and on Appfigures it starts at the $149.99 Optimize tier. On SonarTree it is on the $19 plan.
- 25 keywords on the cheapest paid plan is a short list once you count your own title terms; SonarTree's equivalent tier carries 200.
- SonarTree publishes an estimate's band, method and confidence on every number, and publishes nothing where the signal is too weak to support one.
What the pricing table does not tell you
- Plans bundle 5 apps, then charge $1.99 per additional app per month.
- "Premium competitors" is a separately metered allowance, not part of the keyword count.
The short answer
If you ship on both stores and want the broadest analytics surface for the least money, Appfigures is the honest recommendation. If competitor keyword data is the reason you are shopping at all, its price sits two tiers up.
SonarTree is pre-launch and does not accept public signups yet. The waitlist is the only way in, and every plan and limit is published before you join it.
